Display of medieval ecclesiastical glass from the 2023 NLAHS archaeological dig in Bethleham Street

Saturday 20th September 2025

Grimsby Minster

The Society will be presenting a display of ecclesiastical glass, as well as high quality enlarged photos of the glass and of historical context, for the public to view in Grimsby Minster of 20th September.

After expert consideration, we now believe the glass to have been made in the 13th or 14th century, and most likely to have originated from either St Mary's or St James’(now Grimsby Minster), both churches very near to the dig site.

If you are interested in helping on the day, please email Anne on info@explorelincshistory.org saying when you would be available.

Otherwise, please support the Society by coming to have a look!

A cafe and toilets are available at the Minster and there is parking nearby.
